never-ending fireworks

Tonight I had my first taste of the perks of living on the 17th floor in London when we were treated to a 20 minute fireworks display originating from the military academy across the road. The only plausible reason we could think of was that they were a very expensive practice run for Guy Fawkes night on Thursday.
